| Comments: | I definetly grew up watching Sir Graves. My memory goes back to the late 60's. I remember the intro to the show having some kind of film at first. I can't remember if he popped out of a coffin back then. I also seem to remember a bit where some other guy with a cape would step in occasionaly. Kind of an occasional side kick. Graves performed some kind of surgery on the guy one day. A rather grusome bit for what he (Graves) later became more known for - passive humor. The act was not bloody or anything. It was done behind a screen and you only saw shadows. I also remember a bit he did when a solar eclipse occured. Marilyn Turner was doing the weather at TV2 at the time and did an Saturday afternoon "Eclipse of the sun" special just before the Sir Graves show. Graves came on later that afternoon and made his contribution for the event. He popped out of his coffin wearing street cloths (no kidding). He attributed it to the eclipse causing some kind of strange effect on him. He wore his ma |

| Comments: | This a great site. I remember watching Sir Graves on cold winter Saturday afternoons in the 70's. I found him creepy, freaky and interesting. It's too bad that they don't have programmes like Sir Grave's any more. RIP Sir Graves. |

| Comments: | Just wanted to say thanks for a great website. I have been posting on your message board which also brings back great memories. Sir Graves was a great pitstop from playing outdoors with friends. Afterwards we would talk about the show. I had always wondered if anyone remembered Sir Graves and had been surfing the web a few years ago on the subject and finally found your website. Thanks for keeping this memory alive, and thank you Lawson J. Deming for creating a great character that kept many kids company and remains in many minds today. |

| Comments: | As a kid growing up in Detroit in the 1970s my weekends were spent getting scared out of my wits thanks to Sir Graves Ghastley. Now in my 30s I have the honor to pay homage to Sir Graves and other horror hosts by hosting my own "Creature Feature" show on my local cable system. Thank you, Sir Graves, for the great memories! |

| Comments: | I remember every Saturday my dad would have Sir Graves on and I would get so scared to see that picture of him with his one eye so big!! And to see him in his coffin would always freak me out! Then my parents took me to see him in person at a grocery store in Detroit. I sat on his lap and realized he was a nice man.
Thanks for keeping our childhood memories alive with this great website. |

| Comments: | Thanks for the memories from the wife & I. I didn't get to see a lot of his shows because of no reception on the TV, (got to see them at my uncles house and was the highlite of my weekend) Sir Graves is the one that got me hooked on the horror & B movie thing. Still to this day every saturday around 1:00 if I'm around the TV then I think back to the days when it was great to watch him and how much I miss that. Thanks for filling the void...Now I can show my boy what it was like when TV was GOOD!!! Keep up the good work and many thanks again. Terry |

| Comments: | I, like you, have fond childhood memories of Sir Graves Ghastly and watching the scary movies that he hosted. Now, I'd like to pass those same memories on to my children, but the local TV hosts have all but gone by the wayside in lieu of ignorant and boring cable television hosts. It would be great to do a Sir Graves film festival at one of the local theatres, no? I am a professional event planner, perhaps we can collaborate. My favorite memory of Sir Graves was driving somewhere downtown on year and putting money in the Jerry Lewis Telethon "Fishbowl" that was being held by none other than Sir Graves Ghastly.
Thanks for the site. I'll check back often.

| Comments: | Every now and then you can catch a classic B-Movie like, "Creature from the Black Lagoon" or one of the Dracula or Frankenstein movies on the classic movie networks. Each time I see these movies it brings back absolutely wonderful memories of Saturday Afternoon when I was a kid. I was born in 1964 and grew up in Brighton Michigan. Throughout the 1970's Sir Graves Ghastly was a Saturday afternoon must see. Mr. Deming played his part so well along with all the other characters on the show. I cannot watch a black and white horror film without thinking of Sir Graves Ghastly and your devious laugh. I can vividly remember, turning off the lights, drawing the draps and finding my favorite spot by the "telly" to watch . . .The Slime People . . .Hoo Ha Ha Ha Ha Haaaaaa. You just cannot find some of the B-Classics anymore. I can remember like yesterday: The Crawling Hand, The Flesh Easters, Attach of the Giant Leeches, Tinglers and The Mole People. To this day I love those old "B" black |

| Comments: | My parents divorced in 1979 when I was 10 and some of my most vivid memories following that time were the weekends I spent visiting my Dad when we would watch Sir Graves together. Even now, seeing the pictures and reading the memories of others, it takes me back to happy moments in an unhappy time... Sir Graves Ghastly is a big part of my happy childhood and I can't thank him enough for the times he gave me Father and Me. |

I love Sir
Graves and I love this site. Well done my man. I would give me arms to go
back in time to relive my experiences with Sir Graves on Saturday afternoons.
The greatest days of my live. Why in the HELL don't some of these local TV
stations get off thier ass and replay some of these shows. Does anyboby remember
Scream Theater. Hell fellas I live in Flint this waz before cable I had to
watch the Detriot greats like Sir Graves, Scream Theater, and The Ghoul with static
on the screen. Who wants to watch infomercials when all the stations
have to do is dig-up(no pun intended)the old tapes and replay them. Or here
is another idea, start another show and find someone original to host it. |
