Please
enjoy creeping through the guestbook, and don't forget to sign it
yourself and share your own Sir Graves memories! Put them down now,
so they won't be lost forever! (names with no comments will be removed
to save space)
Note:
This page is mainly intended for sharing your Sir Graves thoughts
and memories--not really for questions you'd like answers to. If you
do have specific questions about Sir Graves or this site, feel free
to e-mail me directly or post a message on my Detroit Horror TV message
board. By all means, if you would like to talk with myself and others
about Sir Graves (or vintage Detroit TV & Drive-ins) in more detail,
please visit the message
board. And finally, please don't spam this guestbook. If you sign
just looking to buy or trade tapes, or simply to put your link here,
your entries will be removed. Thanks.

| Comments: | I met Sir Graves in a school auditorium show one year around halloween, and used to watch religiously. I miss SGG, the Ghoul, Monster Week, and even Tom Ryan's silly Count Scary character. Where has all of this gone? In an email to Mr. Ryan I asked that very question, and his reply was: "The local stations would rather run reruns than fund an original show." This is sad. We loved low budget and local programming as children (Hot Fudge, Cpt. Kangaroo, Bozo, Bowling for dollars, etc.) why don't these bean counting morons understand they are destroying America along with our beloved original local programming. This is all Oprah's fault! Those stupid japanese cartoons aren't helping either. We aren't japanese, our kids aren't japanese, so why the heck do have to endure so much of this garbage?
PS: who's idea was it to put Bill Bonds in those Gardener White commercials?

| Comments: | I was about 7-10 years old when I would watch Sir Graves on Saturday mornings (I'm now 38). I always looked forward to watching the Glob, and my most favorite movies that Sir Graves played were Dracula, and I've been a Dracula movie fan ever since. I can remember Tiny Tim being on the show.
I was just saying today that I wish cable had a channel dedicated to showing nothing but Horror movies/tv shows and that they would play Sir Graves Ghastly re-runs.
Sir Graves, if you happen to read this, I would just like to thank you for the memories.
Kelly :-)

| Comments: | As soon as I clicked on this site and I heard the sound of the wind and the cat and creaks, I was instantly thrown back to my basement home in Windsor on a Saturday afternoon. I remember Sir Graves making sure that the blinds were drawn and the lights were low. I was around 7 years at the time and remember watching his show on a black and white tv in the basement where it was dark. Id get so scared by the show on tv that Id have to hide under a blanket not to see what was so scary on the tv.
Love this site. Brings back some scary and fun memories.
Keep up the good work!! |

| Comments: | Just loved Sir Graves Ghastly when I was growing up. Kids today do not have the personalities like we had in years past. All the humor was good natured and good always won out over evil and presented in very simple ways.We miss you Sir Graves!!! |

I have always
remembered this show, but didn't remember what it was called. After explaining
in detail to my dad what I did remember from back then (I was only 3 years
old at the time) he said that it was Sir Graves. Once I visited the website,
I felt great. I called my dad and played the audio over the phone and he
was giggling with excitement. Sir Graves is awesome! |

I grew up watching Detroit TV. Freinds and I were talking about
the old shows back when we were a kid and how much we loved that kind of stuff.
I can remember waiting to go out to play on a Saturday afternoon until Sir
Graves was over. I happen to decide to check the internet and see if anybody
else out there still remembered him. YOUR SITE IS GREAT!!! I sure wish they
still had something like this on TV so my kids could watch it. 150 channels
and never anything on, but as a kid we only had 5 to 7 channels and loved what
we had to watch. Keep up the work, can't wait to see the screen savers. I sure
do miss Sir Graves and now even my childhood. |

| Comments: | Sir Graves used to scare the shit out of me when I was 5, but I soon after learned to like him. I miss shows like his that were produced in Detroit, like Count Scary, The Ghoul, and Martial Arts Theatre. I miss you, Sir Graves!! |

| Comments: | What a guy! Remember how Sir Graves used to dress up and lip-sync songs? - "your red scarf matches your eyes, you close your cover before striking. . .". He also showed Mexican vampire movies which I have never seen anywhere else.
Guys like Sir Graves, Dr. Shock and the Ghost Host were really cool.
Unfortunately, to steal from another classic, "it is a time Gone With the Wind." |
