A friend of mine sent me a link to all things historically
Detroit & I was sad to see Sir Graves missing. I immediately
went online to see if anyone had a tribute to him & was pleased
to see this one among others. For entertainment, my family liked
to have me imitate Sir Graves' haunting laugh. I was a creepy
little 5-year-old. What can I say? I have lots of good memories
watching his show. Who can forget the Glob? How disturbing &
fun at the same time. I still am hurt that my drawing never
made it onto the show's wall of kids' art, though. Oh, well.
Thanks for the webiste. Keep up the good work! |

Seeing this site just reminds me of how great TV
was back then. Ultraman, Johnny Sokko, The Ghoul, Hot Fudge,
Great Space Coaster. I could go on and on. I'm so proud of the
fact that someone is keeping this alive. Please, keep it up. |

a show growing up in Adrian. Sir Graves even put my monster
drawing on his show in 1966. Great site! |

Wow! What a crazy blast from the past! I stumbled
upon your website when I was surfing online - I lived in Royal
Oak from 1963 to 1976 and have fond, albeit fuzzy, memories
of watching Sir Graves on Saturday afternoons. My most vivid
memory was of the "creature" consisting of an upside-down mouth
with eyes and nose painted on - I vaguely remembered that this
thing would sing songs, but I couldn't for the life of me remember
its name - I found your web site and now I know - The Glob!!
My little brother and I played "The Glob game" all the time
back in the day - nothing like going to school with permanent
marker on your chin! Thanks for bringing back great memories
of a bygone era! |

Hello, & Thank You for bringing back fond memories.
Back in the early 70's, I sent in a picture to have shown on
the air, of the Attack of the 50ft Woman. My picture, closed
with the segmant...I later received a hand written letter, from
Sir Graves, that stated: Never had I received a picture from
someone of a young age, who used: clay to bring-out the picture's
dimensions...That was the first, and only picture, that had
been done like that...I still to this day, remember the fun,
my mom and I shared in watching the show...THANK YOU...I wonder
if anyone still remember's Digger-Downer, who last I hear, runs
the News Herald paper, from Ecorse MI. God Bless, and Try to
make an appearance soon, maybe at the Novi Comic-Con??? |

Thanks for the site. so many things came back to
me. With 500 channels now there is less to watch, then back
in the 70's with only 4. Thanks again . |
